Welcome to St. Helier Methodist Centre

St. Helier Methodist Centre is situated in the centre of St. Helier, We are located at the end of Halkett Place, you can't miss us!

St. Helier is the principal town of the island of Jersey, the largest of the Channel Islands.

St. Helier Methodist Centre is a gathering of 120 members. Sunday morning worship is attended by about 90 people. Our church has a wide age range with several young families and a thriving Junior Church.

On the second Sunday of each month, we have a Holy Communion service. On the fourth Sunday of each month, we have an All Age Worship service. We have a Worship Group, which consists of a number of young people who play various instruments and who accompany the congregation in modern worship songs. The church services throughout the month have a good balance of traditional hymns and modern worship songs.

Wheelchair access to the worship area is available via a lift. An induction loop is fitted in the church for the use of those with hearing aids.

As well as to worship, the church meets together to pray and study the Bible at house group meetings held during the week.
Hello, my name is Liz Hunter and I am the minister with pastoral responsibility for St. Helier Methodist Centre. I have been in Jersey since September 2004 and feel a great affinity for the people of the island and their history, a history which is often reflected in the depth of loyalty and faithfulness to the church.

Here at SHMC we are actively seeking God's will for our future, asking what direction he is leading us in and what this demands of our discipleship.

The beginning of the 21st century is a time of spiritual searching for many people and the challenge for the church is to find ways of making the gospel relevant and exciting to those for whom church is not a familiar environment.

Any one joining us for Sunday worship, or at any of our other activities, will find a warm welcome waiting for them.
